11.06 lbs of strawberries picked again at the lovely Edgewater Farm. $2.50/lb. Picked in my own containers – they now charge $1.50 for a wax-coated picking box. $27.67 total. 45 minutes of work.

There is just nothing like a fresh strawberry. I had the best batch this year than I have had in a very long time. Raspberries are not doing so well but the ones I am getting are huge. Fresh food! Nothing like it.

The strawberries here loved the heat. They are so sweet! However, the hard rain on Friday bruised a lot of the fruit, so a lot of it is rotting in the field.
